Community Impact Event


Clear your calendar! The #DigitalCharlotte Community Impact Event is set for Saturday, January 23rd, and you're invited to take part. As community, neighborhood, and faith leaders, we want to connect you with those working to ensure everyone has affordable broadband access in the home and the resources to take advantage of it.


At this event you can expect to not only learn more about the latest work of #DigitalCharlotte and the Digital Inclusion Steering Team, but also have an opportunity to engage first hand with our community partners offering access, device, and training/education resources that are empowering community through technology. There will also be a special 'GigWOW' experience where you can see first hand the kinds of things you are able to do with new gigabit service in Charlotte.


The Internet is important to everyone. Come learn for yourself or come learn so you can share with others. All are welcome.

In early 2015 the City of Charlotte began convening community stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for bridging the digital divide.


#DigitalCharlotte and the Digital Inclusion Steering Team are working to help lead this effort.
